RHS Chelsea 2011

In 2011, the B&Q Garden designers Laurie Chetwood and Patrick Collins picked up a Gold Award for their design which had the tallest-ever garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Encouraging individuals and communities to develop sustainable food growing spaces, irrespective of the size of their plot, the new B&Q Vertical Grow Box was incorporated within the design of the garden. The garden design required us to build the structure along with the delivery and installation.

Planting was the next challenge with ground level planters housing a mix of ornamental planting and edible plants, such as strawberries and thyme, and the upper levels proving an easy concept to 'greening' the city.

We erected a camera which was accessed over the web for viewing during the construction. The main point of the feed was for marketing during the build so that B&Q could allow certain guests to get a sneak preview before the show opened. At the end of the construction, the images were collated and a film produced.
