Supplier of garden maintenance services (Olympic Park) to the London 2012 Games
We are one of the UK’s leading landscaping companies and as a 5 times BALI Grand Award winning commercial landscaping contractor, which was founded in 1983, we pride ourselves in providing best in class hard and soft landscape contracting services. With over 32 years of successful high profile projects under our belt, we continue to expand on our services to provide enterprising landscaping solutions and innovations for our clients.
Over the years we have been responsible for innovative security planter designs which have been tested and received an anti ram barrier PAS 68:2007 accreditation. We have worked with RHS Gold Award winning landscape designers and Landscape Institute Award winning architects. Our expertise also extends to installing bio-diversity gardens, green roofs and walled gardens for blue chip FTSE 100 companies.
Here East is on the fringe of Hackney Wick and is now a commercial space set alongside the Canal Park in London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Joining resident BT Sport, are Loughborough University, UCL and Hackney Community College so completion of works on time was paramount.
We have been working diligently behind the scenes with Dan Pearson and the Garden Bridge Trust in tree and plant selections along with community engagement support. With the full complement of trees now at Deepdale Trees Nursery, our task is to ensure correct tagging and re-planting in an air pot system for root growth. We then move the trees to the highest point on the Nursery for acclimatisation to our climate, particularly a windy one.
Throughout the year we support many charitable initiatives involving horticulture, along with supporting community landscaping projects. We also support special days when schools or societies visit either the Olympic Park or Sky Garden. Recently students from Oak Lodge School in Barnet were ‘entertained’ by one of our garden team. The students just loved our Matt who gave them a presentation and tour
We took on a young lad, Aaron Long, via the Camden Apprenticeship Service in April 2015 to work along aside our Kings Cross Estates Landscape Maintenance team. To celebrate National Apprenticeships Week, the Borough of Camden organises an annual Big Thank You event and on entering Aaron in the category Best Progression by an Apprentice, we were delighted that he scooped the top prize!
Our specialist experience in installing semi-mature containerised trees, the design and installation of water features, irrigation systems and grounds maintenance, supported by a skilled and motivated team, has enable us to provide an unrivalled range of services, thus ensuring projects are completed swiftly and efficiently; this recognition resulted in our involvement with the construction and planting of the Olympic Park in Stratford London and again by our engagement in the Legacy transformation works with the installation of the Pleasure Gardens for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, South Park Plaza, which won us the coveted 2014 BALI Grand Award and in 2014, the new Canal Park alongside the Lee Navigational Canal, which we finally handed over following a year of maintenance and more recently the landscaping works around the Olympic Stadium and Here East.
Continuing with providing solutions to challenging projects, 2015 saw us complete the installation of the BALI 2015 Principal Award Winning Sky Garden, London's highest public garden on the 37th floor at 20 Fenchurch Street, commenced work at Royal Hospital Chelsea re-instating a 17th century garden and started work on the NW Cambridge Development Project. A number of high end private residences installations were also started in London and we continue to be involved with the Kings Cross Development scheme and of course let's not forget our success as being the planting contractor for London's Garden Bridge!.
